Named for their single closed-cover bar look and massive, imposing sound, the Alchemy Monolith is the ultimate high-output single coil.
Wound in the same way as a traditional single coil and still retaining the harmonic openness that comes with a single coil construction, but with ultra thin modern coated wire around broader and heavier AlNiCo V pole pieces to high output to deliver a huge, heavy tone approaching the thickness of a humbucker sound.
The Monolith set is designed to give a single-coil guitar added power and tightness in the low end for playing with heavy fuzz or distortion, and a really full, rich and compressed clean tone which will really help calm guitars that are overly bright as well as giving instruments that are a little quiet or weedy the added push they need to drive the signal chain and front of the amp hard.
 
This set takes the design philosophy of the Hemlock set and turns everything up to 11!

The Monolith Tele pickup set will come with the larger poles exposed at the bridge and an open neck cover to also expose the pole pieces as standard.
 
Note - The Monolith set is a drop-in replacement in most single coil applications, including all of those which requires a set to be mounted 'traditionally' (i.e with mounting screws and springs through a scratchplate etc), however the fibre board base is slightly larger than standard single-coils to accommodate the larger 1/4" pole pieces. This means the Monolith set may not fit most direct mount applications (where the pickup is screwed directly onto the body), depending on the tolerances of the guitar routing. If you have any questions regarding the fitting of Monolith pickups for this application please email me prior to ordering and I can advise, or custom wind a set around narrower poles to guarantee fit if necessary.
