The Alchemy Claymore is a very high output humbucker, designed with the most powerful applications in mind. Built using a single Ceramic VIII magnet in the bridge position, the Claymore is wound with many turns of thin modern polysol wire to achieve a really tight sound in the bass and eliminate the shrill sound often attributed to ceramic magnets, but allowing the highs to come through present and clear thanks to the natural sound of the ceramic. The neck is powered by an AlNiCo V pickup, giving it a slightly more open and organic sound perfect for progressive and metal soloing.
